The emerald beach, located near the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, is divided into three types: "play beach", "resting beach", and "view beach" protruding in a Y -shaped shape. The deployment of nurses and surveillers and jellyfish defense nets are fully equipped, so you can swim with confidence. A stroll on the beach is possible outside the swimming period.
At the time of the Okinawa International Ocean Expo, it was the first full -fledged artificial beach in Japan under the name of Expo Beach, based on cautious surveys such as sea current, geology, and living things. Using the original shallow terrain, the sandy beach is created in a Y -shaped sandy beach, and each is named "Play beach", "resting beach", and "view beach", and at the time of the expo souvenirs. Many people took it home, and sand was replenished several times during the exhibition. Currently popular as an emerald beach, it has been selected as a 100th bathery selected by the Ministry of the Environment in 2006.
